Abstract: The authors of the article below regularly inform our readers 
about the dynamics of bibliometric indicators of Russian researchers' 
scientific productivity, compared to that of their foreign colleagues. 
Statistical data are presented, the unbiasedness of different foreign 
databases is considered, and reasons why the contribution of Russian 
science to world science is understated are explained; the conclusion is 
made that it is necessary to develop our own database of scientific 
publications and their citation.
