[Sigia-l] Anyone suggest a better global list?

Bravo List, that's the spirit :)

Ah, Ziya - to be fair, he / she was a pain, but without the constant stirring, I probably never would have come across half the debates I did, never have challenged my own position on things, and learned a whole lot less.

The decline of the list isn't the fault of Z - I'm pretty sure it's just a numbers game. We're harking back 10 years to a planet when you could fit all the people who'd ever heard the phrase 'IA' in a conference room. Now we're way above the radar, have our own 'recruitment specialists' and a top billing at most agencies. There's more interest, so there's more noise. But, you know, I just noticed the default 'To' line as well, so Jonathon, you may be right.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm looking into IxDA, Leisa and others have mentioned Quora (although I have an instinct it's just another place for me to forget to check) and Twitter is a pain in the arse (re. What they all had for lunch - and I'm just as guilty: @LouiseHewitt <- see)

email, dull and unfashionable as it is, is very handy because a) I check it every day, b) I can get summaries of longer posts without reading the whole thing c) I have a nice set of rules for spam, lists etc. that stop my inbox getting claustrophobic.

More than anything, this is all making me feel very old, so I'm off to have a run or something.

Who *is* Ziya anyway? I always suspected Jared Spool in disguise :D

Lou.
