It was you who suggested that:

so I'm not sure if you're trying to disagree with yourself.

In any case, even if one argues that lists are "normally" written with 
commas, that does not imply that one MUST use commas to write a list, 
nor does it imply that a list of words WITHOUT commas is not a list. 
Neither one of these is a logical conclusion from your statement.

Perhaps you could provide a clearer example of why you provided that 
example? It's extremely obtuse.
