You could do worse than reading Bill's book, for instance.  Not from the
usability camp per se but that's the point, fwiw.

the right design. At the risk of over-simplification, usability has

of the design. But who owns getting the right design, and how does

Does anyone know of any papers, articles, blogs, etc *from the usability
camp* that speak to "getting the design right" part of the equation?
