[Sigia-l] do web projects abide by theory D or by theory P?

I don't think there needs to be a distinction between web software and any
other software, so the article applies without any need for mapping the
principles across to web imo.
The deterministic theory is cloud cuckoo land - for the simple reason that
no matter how well you can estimate and implement requirements, things
*change*. Clients change, existing clients change their mind, team members
change, people get ill, dependent projects change etc etc. Which is why the
scrum / agile approach evolved - to prevent dev teams having to work
weekends or drop the testing in order to deliver. I'm pretty amazed that
anyone would think the 'D' theory has any place in anything more complicated
than a small campaign site these days...
