Look, there are two related issues here. One is based on personal
long-standing animosity a handful of people have. The hypocrisy of it is not
really worth discussing much, as best evidenced by the subject line of this
thread. The other issue, however, is.
Some people think they have a god-given license to tell others what issues
are dogmatically pure to cover on the list and what aren't. That's patently
absurd for IA, or any other nascent related field. So it's professionally
significant and plenty of people gave evidence to that fact. I hope we're
not disagreeing on this one?
What's unfortunate is that the first issue is used by some as a cover for
the second. And has been for a few years. To me that's the troublesome part,
as I can deal with the personal attacks.
