[Sigia-l] Mac mail packages

Somewhat OT - sorry, but beg list's indulgence. Replies could come just 
to me, and I'll summarise if anyone else is interested

I have a Mac with OSX, and have just migrated mail from Outlook Express 
on 9 to Mail on X. I do NOT like Mail! It's too slick, not flexible 
enough, and won't let me do what I want.
I have also just loaded MSOffice for Mac, complete with Entourage. 
Don't much like Entourage either.

So, what other options are there for excellent mail software running on 
X - the sort where I can customise EVERYTHING and am not forced to do 
it the way someone else has decided is best?
