WEB DESIGNS FOR INTERACTIVE LEARNING
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Exploratorium announce an
invitational conference on developing and evaluating interactive
educational web sites. Funded by the Informal Science Education
Program at the National Science Foundation, the conference will be
held in Ithaca, New York, from June 15-18, 2005. If you are a web
site designer, researcher, innovator, or evaluator interested in
helping to identify and publicize "best practices" for designing
educational web sites that attract large audiences, please consider
applying to attend.
The conference will assemble approximately 50 diverse individuals who
together will explore approaches and techniques that can help
educational web sites compete with other online activities.
Conference participants will have most of their expenses paid,
including airfare to and from Ithaca, four nights lodging, and all
meals during the conference (Wednesday evening through Saturday
afternoon).
