I would also like to know if anyone is aware of research/studies done to
determine - for a complex task-oriented application - the max # of
features or tasks that should be placed on each page. Is it best to
condense many tasks onto one page, or better to have users click their
way thru a series of simpler pages, each w/one task? Thanks!

Hi everybody,

I'm working on an online application. Users are signing up for a
particular service. The process is long and can take a long time to
complete (lots of forms to fill out). Does anybody know of any research
about what users ability is to focus on a task like this? I would love
to scale down the amount of information but need some stats to back it
up beside some of the candid comments we received in our testing.

Thanks,

William
