[Sigia-l] Maximum time for completing a task

Hi everybody,

I'm working on an online application. Users are signing up for a
particular service. The process is long and can take a long time to
complete (lots of forms to fill out). Does anybody know of any
research about what users ability is to focus on a task like this? I
would love to scale down the amount of information but need some stats
to back it up beside some of the candid comments we received in our
testing.
