When I do other media (a book, a video documentary), I always tend to
use IA-like methodologies (out of habit). Most of the time, those other
media already have versions of these methodologies.

Example: when you make a documentary, you do a "content inventory" after
filming: you watch everything and write down every single scene/shot
with comments. This helps immensely afterwards while constructing the
