This is, as you say, assuming that the blogs are monitored and possibly
edited. This really quickly becomes a deep PR question. Corporations are
typically very careful about how they (re)present themselves to the public.
Blogs:
- Threaten to circumvent/undermine that effort (if uncontrolled)
(or)
- Impose the need for a *lot* of supervision and create the potential for
conflict between anyone who maintains a blog and anyone who polices it, in
addition to undermining the credibility of the blog (if controlled).
Somehow I'm not sure what this brings anybody involved.
