Hello,

I'm putting together a corporate e-mail style guide for a client (specifying how they will interact with their customers via e-mail, not internal stuff). 

All the research I've been able to do so far has only turned up pretty basic stuff (number of characters per line, keep file sizes small, clear privacy, provide opt-out, etc.)... Is there any really "meaty" e-mail references/guides out there?

Any recommended books?

Basically I'm looking at this from the usability angle, not so much marketing. 

Any leads in the right direction is appreciated. If you mail them directly to me, I'll put them together in a handy list for group.
