Perhaps this was said earlier, but I missed it.

Most text-heavy communications in English are left leaning.
English is written left to right.

Most text-heavy communications in Arabic are right leaning. 
Arabic is written right to left.

What an amazing coincidence - certainly worthy of some major
research. Maybe even a dissertation...
