[Sigia-l] Taxonomy/Classification IA and Enterprise IA

Ziya,

I hear what you are saying, and my thoughts are definitely based on my own
biases/experiences thus far. There definitely are plenty of data/software
designers/architects who have facility in IAish things such as
taxonomy/classification. I think it probably comes down to who is most
familiar with the end users of the content being displayed, along with who
has the most facility in understanding how the content is and should be
stored managed etc., as well as what the current and future purpose of the
product is. If there are enough members of a technology team who have the
skills and understanding for taxonomy/classification, then yes that role
could be subsumed into a number of related disciplines from the technology
perspective.

Interesting. You see "site map+interactivity" subsumed by other (related)
disciplines, but same thing cannot happen to "taxonomy/classification"? Many
data/software designers/architects would disagree with you.
