I once read that Jeff Hawkins said he designed the Palm while thinking about
how people have an "associative" memory. I never have figured out how that
influenced the Palm. I expected it to mean that I could organize things in
my Palm by the "event" or "time" or "project" or however I happened to
associate them. No; contacts are stored in contacts, appointments are stored
in the calendar and so on. Quit using the PDA before I got around to
looking for 3rd party stuff that supposedly enables association.
