Most people don't >get< threads (most people include my parents.

In fact, I've yet to see anyone I've worked with store their email in thread
like folders.

When you compare it to Apple's OX mail client, well... 

The solution would be to retain people that think of email like writing a
letter versus making a phone call. Most people use it in the later, and
that's what causes most of the issues with email overload.

Maybe that's just me.

On the topic of generating complex products to generate consulting revenue:

I would say that half the people in this list make a living working for
companies where if products were made easier, revenue would drop and they
might be out of a job.
