The point is that one shouldn't be generating complexity to begin with.
Unless, of course, you're in business to sell tools to 'tame' complexity.
For example, even Microsoft admits the solution to security management
complexity is not weekly patches. So switching to monthly patches can't be
considered a 'solution.'

The fix is to not approach the problem with a product to band-aid its holes.
It's to ask, why do we have so much messaging being generated in this
communication/collaboration environment? How can we redesign the workflow to
fundamentally reduce the message count so the users can actually absorb the
flow?
When the number of web pages to be indexed went from millions to billions,
Google's answer was not to increase the number of cubicles for human
categorizers or increase metatag count, but to approach the problem from an
entirely different angle that obviated many of the then-perceived problems.
Now what *specific* solution do I have for this problem? I'd gladly work on
it if IBM is willing to send a check my way.:-)
