Sorry, not my department -- I have enough trouble keeping up with 
site & Intranet search engines.  There are a number of personal 
search engines on Windows, including dtSearch, but I don't know much 
about them (I use Sherlock on the Mac).

Some of them probably include categorization engines.  They should 
analyze all the text before categorizing: the more content, the more 
likely they are to get it right -- full text is better than abstracts 
is better than titles.  But remember, it's easy to get to 80%, but 
it's hard to avoid egregious mistakes in the last 20%.
