Well, some IAs don't like working with navigation design/interface design
(by the way, I think they are the same thing - it may just be a question of
semantics), and prefer not to address it. I certainly agree with you that
it's not discussed enough.

My point is that it will become even more important as the industry
advances, and it would benefit people to at least get their feet wet if
they've been ignoring interface/nav design (if those people still exist!).
