Job Description

Thomson, a leading provider of integrated information solutions to business 
and professional markets worldwide is looking for a nurse paralegal to work 
as part of a multi-functional team in the development of medical research 
information.

Responsibilities include:
    * Participate in the acquisition and management of electronic medical 
information
    * Participate in the design, development and implementation of systems 
to support the delivery of medical information to researchers
    * Analyze the medical information needs of researchers and develop 
specifications for implementing information opportunities
    * Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in medical 
information

  Qualifications:
    * MLS from an ALA accredited institution
    * 2+ years of medical library experience
    * Knowledge and experience using online database services, including 
OVID, MEDLINE and Dialog
    * Familiarity with UMLS and MeSH  medical taxonomies
    * Broad based knowledge and experience with medical information 
resources and medical information technology applications
    * Self-directed and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
