Folks
a couple of things
1) this email i coming from the email address you can reach me at after 12/31/2025 - im not sure how much longer after that my work email addresses will still work
you can also reach me at
mark.needleman at gmail.com
2) The standards committee has been asked to put together a special issue of the Bulletin for the fall issue (articles would be due around July/August)
We need to come up with some topic for 4-6 articles on standards issues (and more important people who will commit to writing them)
We discussed a couple of topics at the meeting in St louis
BibframeSemantic WebISO Thesauri standardsInteresting NISO development
(People who were at the meeting please chime in with topics Ive forgotten)
Can we brainstorm both topic and potential authors - and try to get some firm commitments by (lets say) the end of January - can we (hopefully) do this by email or do we need to arrange a conference call or 2
Obviously the 2 most important things in this process are
1) coming up with interesting topics (although there should be no shortage of those)2) More important is authors who can write articles and will commit to doing so
Thought, Comments - people who were in St Louis (and everyone) please jump in with comments - and also topics we discussed that didnt list above - but most importantly potential authors we can contact - or if you want to write an article yourself all the better (I know how to track you folks down)
