Hi All,
One of my NYC-based clients is starting a BIG project & needs some help. The company is located in Chelsea Markets in NYC----we've got 3 freelancers there now and they all seem to like it a lot---cool folks, sane hours, interesting projects, and awesome location (cookies + brownies GALORE downstairs, etc!!) All roles are for their client's global website build launch and start asap (Monday if possible) and last through December. Sites will be in 14 different languages. Very aggressive timeline. Depending on country, the sites will be slightly different, so they’ve got teams working in tandem on each site to launch them all together simultaneously. They like folks with very detailed work + who thrive on documentation---not so much they get bogged down, but they need to be able to produce detailed, meaningful and thoughtful work. Folks coming out of marketing-only agencies (banners, microsites) will not fly---they need major website build experience.
Here are the open roles.
UX Lead: Very senior; very client facing and can lead small teams.
IA: midlevel. Must have clean + robust wireframes, sitemaps, etc to show.
Content Strategy Lead: most senior content strategist. Should be able to do editing/content creation. Experience with taxonomies, metadata are plusses. This is NOT a copywriter position, although often CS’es are copywriters in a former life. Knowing Filemaker Pro is a plus.
Sr Content Strategist: more jr. than the lead but still a sr level position. Knowing Filemaker Pro is a plus.
2 Jr Content Strategists: $25/hr tops. Must have Excel skills, be able to move content around, good handle on English language (English BA/MA is a plus!), smart, motivated. Not an admin position per se but is entry level - look for candidates with internship experience.
All roles except for the Jr CS must come onboard as independent contractors (1099) and the payment terms are net 45 days, although our experience is that folks often get paid sooner than that.
ALL WORK WILL BE DONE 100% ON SITE DURING REGULAR WORKING HOURS - SORRY, THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Please contact me if you are available to start a new gig within the next week - and provide me with an updated copy of your resume, along with your target hourly rate.
Best wishes,
Carol
