For those on OS X, there's a new app [1] a good chunk of which is ideal for
IA/ID/planning/organizing/presenting/etc:
Curio helps you through the challenging Concept Discovery phase of creative
design. This is the period of research and exploration that produces the
core concept to be used in the final solution.
Curio accomplishes this by providing an environment with customizable
project dossiers to help clarify goals and strengthen client communication,
an unlimited number of flexible idea spaces, a built-in asset library, easy
organization and searching, and an assistant called Sleuth to help break
through creative roadblocks. Each design project is stored in a single
easy-to-manage file for the ultimate in project hopping as you jump between
tasks.
Curio excels as a tool for individual brainstorming, but wait until you try
it out in a group setting!
[...]
This phase of the process is idea exploration. Your creativity is at its
peak as you employ free-form thinking and brainstorming.
Normally during this phase you'd use a sketchbook and whiteboard, a bunch of
TextEdit docs or Stickies, Adobe Photoshop or other graphic applications,
and the web. But keeping track of all these different formats is a chore!
There's a better way: the Curio idea space.
