Yes. One of the things I always do is have a nice Sharpie available. If the
participant asks about the meaning of a card label, I turn it back to them,
and then get them to change or annotate the card to reflect their
interpretation. This is especially important if they have caveats ("I would
put it here if you consider tomato a fruit") that change meanings.
