Speaking of dirty tricks, here's one when you need to find out if remote
users are really paying attention to the process: embed a rogue/control item
that looks like it might belong but is sufficiently different for someone
paying attention. Like so,

Apples
Oranges
Grapes
Tomatoes
Bananas
Pears
Etc.

So Tomatoes or Turnips but not, say, Airplanes or Shoes. :-) It helps if
users can question, comment, etc.
