Usually I just lurk on this list, but "Banned in Ohio" has driven me to speak!

I am a part-time student in Kent State's Master's degree program in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management. The program was launched Fall 2001. It was originally supposed to launch in 1999 or 2000. It was held up by a lot of university politics; it isn't easy to coordinate an interdisciplinary program that involves 6 different schools in multiple colleges. There were also protests from the School of Architecture about using the term "architect" in the degree.

As a citizen of this great state, I would prefer to see our legislators focused on improving the economy and attracting business, rather than driving it away with petty squabbles over a word.
