Market pressure probably has something to do with this: having sold the
client on the necessity of paying for information architecture--which we all
know is, these days, a pretty hard sell--the senior client liaison may be
eager to have something to show, and the sooner the better. The wow factor
plays no small role in this. And yet the design of the visual interface may
be barely under way. Enter the wireframe.
