Dear Tom,

I am surprised, and quite disappointed, by your decision to publish what
could be a very valuable book in a source that requires a proprietary
system to access and read. I certainly would be interested in using this
publication both for myself and for teaching, but I cannot require my
students to purchase Apple products. Your decision is especially
surprising given your dedication to open source publishing. You
certainly could have published this book with someone other than Apple,
so that it could be available on any mobile or static device, including
those using Apple operating systems; since the great majority of such
devices in the world do not use Apple's operating systems, this decision
disadvantages a very large potential readership.

Is it too late to change your mind?

Best wishes

Nick
