"Theory in Information Behaviour Research", edited by T.D. Wilson, will be
published in the Apple iBook Store later this month. This e-book, priced
at $9.99 consists of the following chapters:

Activity theory, by Tom Wilson; Critical theory, by Gerald Benoit; Personal
construct theory, by Rebecca Reynolds; Personality theory, by Jannica
Heinstrom; Practice theory, by Andrew Cox; Social cognitive theory, by
Agusta Palsdottir; Social phenomenology, by Tom Wilson and Reijo
Savolainen; and Theoretical approaches in Russia and Eastern Europe, by
Elena Maceviciute.

The authors have collectively constituted a peer review group, each reading
and commenting on the submissions from the others.

PhD students, beginning their review of the subject and searching for an
appropriate theoretical framework, will find this book useful, as will
Master's students beginning their preparatory work for the dissertation.
Practitioners too, will find the work useful in assessing the value of
research of interest to them and, finally, those teaching research methods,
especially at advanced level, will find the book a useful source of ideas
for their work.

"*Theory in Information Behaviour Research*" is only available as an
e-book, readable on any IOS device - iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone or iPod Touch.
When the next Mac operating system is launched, later this year, the iBook
format will also be readable on any iMac or Macbook.
