[Siguse-l] sig use awards applications

Dear SIGUSE Members

Applications are now available for the 2010 SIGUSE Awards. Visit the
SIGUSE website and click on the awards button. Information about each
award is provided under the Info link. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS
September 5 -no exception. Award winners will be notified by the end of
September or early October.  Awards available:

 

* PhD Travel Award ($500)  NOTE: Award winners are expected to  attend
the SIGUSE Symposium

* Master's Student Travel Award ($500)  NOTE: Award winners are expected
to attend the SIGUSE Symposium 

* Elfreda A. Chatman Research Proposal Award ($1000). 

* Interdisciplinary Travel Awards ($200) 

* Best Information Behavior Conference Paper Award ($200). NOTE:
Applicants must have had a paper accepted for   the 2010 to qualify for
the Paper Award

* Best Information Behavior Conference Poster Award ($200) NOTE:
Applicants must have had a poster accepted for the 2010 conference.

 

To be eligible for an award, you must be a current member of SIGUSE. 

NOTE: For multiple authored papers or posters or for the Chatman Award
one of the authors must be a member of SIGUSE.

 

Each application for an award will be reviewed by 2 or 2 jurors.

Award winners will be announced at the 2010 SIGUSE Symposium and then
posted on the SIGUSE Awards website.
