Happy 2009 SIG USE members!
A few items to start the year rolling.
2009 marks the 10th anniversary of SIG USE! We will be celebrating at
ASIS&T 2009, Vancouver, Canada. We have an exciting year ahead and we look
forward to sharing this with you. We'll keep you posted via our web site,
Facebook group, and, of course, here via email.
Speaking of ASIS&T, the deadline for submissions for the conference is
rapidly approaching. As usual, SIG USE sponsors panels for submission. If
you would to apply for SIG USE sponsorship, please email your panel
submission as a Word document to me at Crystal.Fulton at ucd.ie not later than
JANUARY 19TH, 2009. We are planning a quick turnaround time on received
proposals to facilitate your submission to ASIS&T for Jan. 21st, 2009.
Finally, please find attached minutes of our autumn planning meeting at
ASIS&T. Our annual financial report is also attached; please note that we
are waiting for Elsevier's cheque, but it is in process.
Looking forward to celebrating with you all at ASIS&T 2009!
Best wishes,
Crystal
