INFORMATION USE IN INFORMATION SOCIETY

=======  Topics of interest   =======

The conference will cover several subtopics:

* Research and trends in information use
  - research results on relationships among people, technologies and
information in the information society
  - advanced trends in information science, information systems, and
information society
  - new strategies of human information behavior in various cultural,
technological and institutional contexts

* Practical systems and services with added value
  - practical systems and services in information institutions, e.g. in
libraries, media, cultural organizations, memory institutions
aimed at value-added services in the electronic environment
  - digitization of cultural heritage
  - information architecture

* Information society: cultural, legal, systems, educational aspects,
information literacy
  - social changes regarding the information use in the electronic
environment
  - national and culture-specific approaches to information society building


Papers should cover the integrating links between social and behavioral
sciences and technological basis of information processing and use.
New, value-added services of information systems, services of digital
libraries, and human information behavior in different contexts are
interesting.

Target audience: Managers of library and information institutions, research
workers, teachers, information managers, students.


=======  Submissions   =======

Authors should send abstracts of paper proposals of max. 200 words to the
organizers by e-mail. Full-texts of papers will be due by 30th June.
Texts will be published on the website as well as in printed proceedings.
Authors will be sent detailed instructions to prepare the texts for
publishing by 15th May 2005.
