SIG/STI: BIOSIS Student Travel Award 2002 
American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) Announces Student Grant
Application deadline: June 15, 2002 

The ASIS Special Interest Group on Scientific and Technical Information Systems is offering a $600 grant to a library and information science student, with an interest or background in biological sciences, to defray the cost of attending the 2002 ASIS national meeting. This money has been made available through a grant from BIOSIS, producer of Biological Abstracts and other biology information services.

"Knowledge, Connections and Community"
November 18-21, 2002 
Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel, Philadelphia, PA

Requirements: 

1. A demonstrated interest in biology and information science.
2. A current graduate student. Full-time enrollment is not mandatory, but will be given preference.

The ASIS&T Special Interest Group on Scientific and Technical Information Systems is offering a $500 to $1,000 grant to a library and information science student, with an interest or background in chemistry or chemical engineering, to defray the cost of attending the 2002 ASIS&T annual meeting. This money has been made available through a grant from Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society.
