Hi fellow ASIST folks - please see the reminder below for this year's
Trisociety Symposium.  The three societies are ASIST, SLA, and the American
Chemical Society.  I hope to see y'all there! - KT


This is a reminder that it's time to register for the Special Libraries
Association Annual Conference, June 8-13, 2002 in Los Angeles.  As part the
conference this year, the Chemistry Division is happy to be hosting the 7th
Quadrennial Trisociety Symposium.

The Trisociety Symposium is a joint venture of the American Chemical Society
Division of Chemical Information, Chemistry Division of the Special
Libraries
Association and the American Society for Information Science and Technology
Special Interest Group on Scientific and Technical Information Systems. Its
aim
is to advance co-operation among the chemical information professionals of
the
three participating societies by holding a joint one day symposium on a
topic of
mutual interest every four years. I'm including a schedule of the speakers
below.  You can find the abstracts, plus a listing of other Chemistry
division

ASIST members can register at SLA member prices by accessing the online
registration at http://losangeles.sla.org. Registration forms are also
available
at  http://www.sla.org/pubs/pcp2002/confreg2002.pdf.  There is an early bird
rate of $250 that ends on  May 1.  After that the cost is $295.  You may
also
want to buy a ticket to the Chemistry Business Meeting/Breakfast on Monday.
It's event #510 and quite a bargain at only $5.
