II International Workshop on Scientometric Studies

Call for Papers

The National Center for Scientific Research (CNIC) is pleased to invite you to participate at the 16th International Scientific Congress CNIC'2015 which will take place from June 22th to 26th, 2015, at the International Convention Center, in Havana, Cuba, in the framework of the 50th Anniversary of our Center's foundation.

During the congress, our Network of Scientometric Studies for Higher Education (REDEC) will organize the 2nd International Workshop on Scientometric Studies, sponsored by the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (MES) and the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP).

The main objective of the workshop will be the presentation of national and international experiences in the use and validation of scientometric indicators and techniques of bibliometric mapping for the analysis of knowledge domains.

Particular topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

·         Scientometric analysis: global and regional experiences

·         Research assessments: a bibliometric perspective.

·         Bibliometric mapping of knowledge domains.

Papers must be proposed as oral presentations or posters. Authors are invited to send to the organizing committee, in Word or rtf format, the following information:

·         title of the paper

·         name and institutional affiliation of the author(s)

·         a structured abstract (no more than 500 words)

·         from three to five keywords

·         postal address and e-mail of the first author

Once accepted, the full text of papers must be sent in pdf format for its inclusion in the Congress Proceedings. Selected papers would be proposed for publication in the Cuban Journal of Information in Health Sciences (ISSN 2307-2113, covered by SciELO Citation Index and Scopus): http://www.acimed.sld.cu/index.php/acimed
