The International Advisory Board is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Tenth International Conference on Technology, Knowledge, and Society. The Technology, Knowledge, and Society Conference will be held 6-7 February 2014 at the Facultad de Ciencias de la Informacion Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Madrid, Spain. This conference will address a range of critically important themes in the various fields that address the complex and subtle relationships among technology, knowledge and society.

We welcome proposals from a variety of disciplines and perspectives to contribute to the conference discourse. We also encourage faculty and research students to submit joint proposals for paper presentations, colloquia or panel discussions. Proposals are invited that address issues on Technology through one of the following categories:

Theme 1: Technologies for Human Use
Theme 2: Technologies for Learning
Theme 3: Technologies in Community
Theme 4: Technologies for Common Knowledge

Presenters may also choose to submit written papers for publication in the fully refereed International Journal of Technology, Knowledge, and Society. If you are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual registrations are also available which allow you to submit an article based on your presentation for possible publication in this fully refereed academic journal.

Proposals for in-person presentations should be submitted by 12 November 2014 (title and short abstract). Proposals submitted after this day will be accommodated in non-themed sessions at the conference or are eligible for virtual registrations (no attendance at conference required with virtual presentations).
