Dear colleagues,

On request of a Chinese colleague, I upgraded the programs for semantic
mapping using Chinese characters at
http://www.leydesdorff.net/software/chinese for more recent versions of
Windows and 64-bits machines. The programs will probably work with other
non-Latin alphabets.

The original text is: Loet Leydesdorff & Ping Zhou, Co-Word Analysis using
the Chinese Character Set
<http://www.leydesdorff.net/chinese_cowords/index.htm> , Journal of the
American Society for Information Science and Technology 59(9), 1528-1530,
2008; <pdf-version

%20Chinese%20Character%20Set.pdf> >; <software
<http://www.leydesdorff.net/software/chinese/index.htm> >

The routine works with Pajek for the mapping; for example, as follows:

Best wishes,

Loet
