Excerpt: In conclusion, the JCR impact factor and other publication 
statistics are here to stay, and authors, editors, publishers, librarians, 
and others will continue to use them in different but related ways.  The 
Journal of the American Helicopter Society continues to have an impact 
factor that ranks well with its peer journals in the aerospace field.  The 
immediacy index for the Journal of the American Helicopter Society is high 
compared to its peer journals, exceeding that of the AIAA Journal.  Taken 
together, those metrics show that the work being published within the 
pages of Journal of the American Helicopter Society is useful and relevant 
to researchers and other workers in the rotorcraft field.  While the 
impact factor and immediacy index will continue to change from year to 
year, what is important for the Journal of the American Helicopter Society 
is the the trends continue to be monitored and analyzed in the years to 
come.
