Dear Gene, although I have not heard from you for quite a time directly,
I have seen you active in alerting us of interesting papers thru
SIGMETRICS, so I hope and presume you are well, and have the medical
problems behind you, and I wish you Happy New year and good health.

p.s. as you may now our library school was totally destroyed by a
flashflood in November, so I am back at square one with some of my
research unfortunately, and I have been in emrgency mode ever since
along with all the faculty members.
