Abstract:
A comparative analysis of four journals about Health Pyschology published
in Spanish (Revista Internacional de Psicologia Clinica y de la Salud /
International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology; Clinica y Salud;
Salud Mental; and Psicologia y Salud) is presented. The journals are
compared according to the methodology used in their published articles
Moreover, it is offered the proportions of works depending on whether they
are theoretical, descriptive by surveys,, descriptive by observation,
qualitative, experimental, quasi-experimental, single case studies, ex post
facto or instrumental studies. The analysis indicates that there is a clear
predominance of the theoretical studies, as a consequence, it. is the most
extended methodology used in the four journals, while descriptive by
observation designs and those of qualitative nature are the ones that have
a less representation on analyzed journals. In addition to this,. several
final reflections about methodological uses am presented.
