Dear Stasa,
Great work on everything! My comments to your questions are in-line below.

Did anyone see Katy's webinar? Is there another angle that we could take?
If not, I think your other two suggestions would both be very interesting.
I think there is a great deal of interest on both topics.

Last year, all workshops were accepted. I don't anticipate a change this
year. Therefore, I might suggest that we do a call for papers BEFORE the
submission for the workshop is due. We could use that to our advantage if
the call was competitive (by stating how many submissions we had received,
thus showing interest for our workshop). This would also help with visa
issues for international participants. I also want to fight with HQ before
about the cost of the workshop and possibilities for lowering the cost for
students. I was not pleased with the inflexibility of the pricing structure
last year.

I think we should heavily "sponsor" panels on metrics from any member of
ASIS&T. Perhaps we could formalize a process for sponsorship and let people
know about this in advance?

I think one of the issues was that the person driving this before was no
longer there. However, I think Eugene Garfield was heavily involved the
first time. Might it be worth approaching him first? I can't think of a
better ally to discuss with ThomsonReuters.

See above. Earlier. :)

Might as well. It's a low burden to set up, as long as we have someone to
maintain it and keep it active.
