[Sigmet-officers] change your SIG to MET

Apparently Judit renewed via paper, as MET is there as an option if one
renews over the web.

Changes being made other than when renewing online should be communicated to
us via e-mail as Jonathan describes.

Subject: [Sigmet-officers] change your SIG to MET

Dear all,

Jan sent me the following clarification regarding Judit's query (pasted
below) on changing SIGs: "Any member can change their free SIG to MET ...
Our membership department will change your SIG to MET ... As for the others
changing their sig, it's best if they send membership at asis.org an email."

It would help our credibility if all officers were to ask membership to
change your SIG to MET.

Best regards,

Jonathan.

Dear All,
An administrative question, when you renew your membership to ASIST, which I
did a few days ago, you can choose to become a member of one of the SIGs for
free and join other SIGs for $10. I could not chose SIGMETRICS, because it
had not yet been listed as a proper SIG. Do you know what is the process of
joining the SIG not at membership renewal time? I assume that since it costs
to be a SIG member, funds are transferred to the SIG.
Regards,
Judit
