Global Knowledge Economics Council (GKEC) Announcement

***Call for 2003 GKEC/ANSI KM Standards Committee Members***

In preparation for the final draft of the proposed American National
Standards for Knowledge Management, the GKEC secretariat calls for
volunteers to join the final standards working committees.

Current Committees include:
-Competency
-Vocabulary
-Metrics
-Framework

Meetings will be held online, at least once a month, using Groove software
and the GKEC Portal.

If you are interested in joining any of these committees and can spend at
least 8 hours per month as a volunteer, please send an email to
mailto:committee at gkec.org for an application (per ANSI procedures).

***The KM Vocabulary Committee and Competency Committee to Meet Online May
24th***

Please join committee chairpersons Jim Coogan from Boeing and Joseph
Scarpignato from Cognatek Group for an online committee meeting to review
the proposed KM Vocabulary and Competency standards. Meeting will be held
Saturday, May 24th at the Groove shared space. 

The vocabulary committee will begin the commenting phase of the proposed KM
vocabulary. The competency committee will start planning for a KM
stakeholder survey in compliance with ISO/IEC 17024 - the international
standard for the certification of persons.
