Hello everyone:

This is a Call for Articles (magazine style) for the April 2017 issue of the ASIST Bulletin. Articles must be received by February 14, 2017 for consideration.

We are looking for articles meeting the following criteria:
-subject matter: Information Policy and/or Information Ethics

  * Article can be a 'best practices' in teaching and information policy or ethics class, a 'how to' create a syllabus for an information policy or ethics class, or any other subject matter involving information policy and ethics. Other examples are intellectual property law changes and impacts of changes, the effect technology is having on information ethics and policy, how information ethics and policy are affecting new and emerging technologies and vice versa, international information policy concerns (censorship, lack of transparency in government, budding transparency in government), information privacy concerns, and a host of other items.
  *   2500-3500 words
  *   12 pt. Arial font
  * references should be worked into the body of the text to minimize references at the end of the article.
  * See https://www.asist.org/publications/bulletin/ for examples of previous articles written for the Bulletin.
  * Anyone may submit an article. Academics are encouraged to ask students for submissions if their work is high quality in content and style.
  * Previous research papers may be used, but will need to be rewritten to include references in the text body. I will happily work with anyone that wants to take this route.
  * Well written, thoughtful editorials are also welcome.

Please submit completed articles to bloveday at albany.edu for consideration with subject line of "SPECIAL SECTION APRIL 2017".

Thank you!
Brandi Loveday-Chesley
