[Sigiii-l] [InfoInternational] Speakers 6th Conference of the ISKO Spanish Chapter

Dear colleague, 

As you know,  the VI Conference of the ISKO Spanish Chapter and the IV 
International Colloquium on Library and Information Science is going to take 
place in Salamanca on May 5th, 6th and 7th, 2003. In addition to papers 
sessions, we will hold a meeting of KO University Professors, a homage to the 
Dra. Emilia Currás, and a list of speeches that have already been confirmed 
with the following titles and speakers:

1st  speech: "The research in Knowledge Organization in their historical evolution: from the arrangement ot the books in the shelves to the search of information in the web" (Jennifer Rowley, Edge Hill, Great Britain)

2nd speech: "Current trends in Knowledge Organization research" (Ia McIlwaine, School of Library, Archive and Information Studies, University College London, 
Great Britain)

3rd speech: "Some fundamental problems in Knowledge Organization" (Birger Hjorland, Royal School of Library and Information Science, Denmark)

4th  speech: "Applied ethics and Knowledge Organization" (Clare Beghtol, Faculty 
of Information Studies, University of Toronto, Canada)

5th speech: "Transgressive deconstructions, feminist/postcolonial methodology for research in Knowledge Organization" (Hope A. Olson, School of Library and Information Studies, University of Alberta, Canada)

6th speech: "Research in Automated text Classification: trends and perspectives" (Fabrizio Sebastiani, Istituto di Elaborazione della Informazione, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Pisa, Italy)

7th speech: "The Knowledge Organization research in Spain" (María J. López-Huertas, Facultad de Bibioteconomía y Documentación, Universidad de Granada, Spain)
