[Sigiii-l] cross-langauge question

SIGiii list,
I would like to ask the list if any of you know of any studies that have been done concerning cross-langauge knowledge sharing or cooperation? I know of the work that has been done in the field of cross-language IR but am interested in the interation between people working to communication and share information in the global context and how such personal interaction could inform IR design.
