      SIG-IFP Sponsors More Panels at 2006 ASIST

In addition to the panel "Life After WSIS: Lessons Learnt and 
Implications for the Information Professions" that SIG-IFP is 
cosponsoring with SIG-III, our SIG will also be co-sponsoring the 
following panels:

Anarchists, Pirates, Ideologists & Disasters: New Digital Trends and 
Their Impacts, cosponsored with SIG-SI and SIG-CRIT. Panelists include:
Pnina Shachaf, Noriko Hara, Kristin Eschenfelder, Abby Goodrum, Lori 
Cooke Scott, Kalpana Shankar, Muzaffer Ozakca, and Alice Robbin. The 
panel is onTuesday November 7, 2006 at 5:00 p.m.

 
Information Realities of HIV/AIDS Information in Sub-Saharan Africa: 
Barriers and Challenges to Information Professionals, cosponsored with 
SIG- III, SIG-USE, SIG-MED, and SIG-CRIT). Panelists include:
Kingo Mohombu, Rosemary Kabugo, Renee Schoombee, and Modou Fall Sall. 
This panel will be on Wednesday November 8, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. Kendra 
Albright (Sheffield, UK) will moderate.

This makes for a record THREE panels at the 2006 meeting! If anyone has 
any information about other panels that should be included, please let 
me know ASAP.
