[Sigia-l] "Acrobat file" vs. "PDF file"

I think PDF is the most familiar to the common user. Acrobat may be more familiar to a technical audience such as designers. Overall I lean toward PDF just because it has become common terminology throughout the web and non-web world.

(I view PDF files but I don't use Acrobat, making the former technically incorrect.)
