As is reading the subject line, which indicates the thread isn't about how
to compose a FAQ, it's about which (file) format to present it in. The
advantages of HTML/Ajax for a web-based FAQ (some of which I cited over
other formats) remain valid regardless of the fact you may or may not chose
to use them yourself.

For example, progressive disclosure is a fundamental design notion. It's
much more effectively done through in-line HTML/Ajax than any of the other
formats in a web setting, period. Whether you use it or not depends on your
goals. Let's not confuse the two issues.
